Please Pray

Last week some friends of ours from Atlanta were involved in a serious car accident. In the van was Kathryn, the mother and her 3 children. All were initially taken to the hospital, but her oldest (Canon, 7) and youngest (Kate, 4) were treated and released and are doing well.

Their middle child, Anne (5) had several fractures and pressure on her brain and was put immediately into surgery. She has been in critical condition for the past week and has been in ICU at the Children's Hospital in Atlanta. The father, Eric wasn't involved in the wreck, but has spent countless hours at the hospital this past week.

God has been so good and they've seen some signs that Anne is improving although it will be a long, hard road. She has been in a medically induced coma the past week and they are just beginning to reduce her sedation medications to try and allow her to wake up slowly. We are praising God that she is beginning to open her eyes slightly when talked to.

We were a part of this family's Young Couples group when we first moved to Atlanta and began going to church at ChristChurch. They became dear to us and so we ask for prayer for this precious family.

If you are interested in keeping up with Anne's journey, you can access her Caring Bridge page here. Thanks so much for you prayers! This little girl really needs them right now!
