A Good Day

Yesterday was a really good day. We had a really nice time celebrating Father's Day. Kane got some stylish clip on sunglasses, a box of Hot Tamales, a 2-Liter of Pibb-Xtra and a really cool "Coolest Dad" t-shirt from Mara Kate, which he wore all day yesterday. :)

After church we went out to lunch at On The Border to celebrate. It was a yummy meal and the service was GREAT! Our waitress even brought Mara Kate a little ball of dough so she could "make her own tortillas"...just something to play with and keep her busy while we waited on the food. At first she was afraid of the dough because it was squishy---then she decided it was food and would pick off ever so tiny pieces and put them in her mouth. So funny!

After lunch Mara Kate and I took naps while Kane got close to two hours of "down time" playing computer games. The pictures below were taken right after Mara Kate woke up from her nap and was still in a cuddly mood. I love it when she is like this!

After our naps we went over to Georgia Tech to swim--which is always a big hit with Mara Kate. We finished off the day by going grocery shopping as a family. :)
