Barker-Brooks Holiday Tradition

This Easter was Mara Kate's first. We stayed in Atlanta, attended our own church and spent Easter Sunday with our good friend, Bobbi Jo. Bobbi Jo isn't "from" Atlanta either, so we have spent several holidays with her over the past year. Since neither of us have family local we have become one anothers "family" for the holidays we are spending in Atlanta. Over the past year we have spent Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, New Year's Eve and now Easter together...so we have formed the Barker-Brooks Holiday Tradition. :)

Below are some pictures from Easter where we had a picnic in Bobbi Jo's back yard, relaxed with other familyless friends from Atlanta and enjoyed some yummy food.

This picture was not taken on Easter, but it is the dress Mara Kate wore for her first Easter Sunday. It was lovingly made my her Grant Aunt Jane

Everyone enjoying the beutiful weather Sunday at Bobbi Jo's house

I'm glad that you guys have found a family away from family, especially on holidays! And Barker-Brooks sounds like a fitting name for a tradition!
