The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Well, I guess we aren't quite to the Christmas season yet, but I am already excited about it this year.

The Christmas season is just around the corner and with Thanksgiving less than a month away and Christmas just a month after that, I think it's just fine that I'm already getting excited about the holiday season and looking forward to the time we'll get to spend together and with family.

On our trip last weekend I was even tempted to listen to some Christmas music on my iPod, but made myself refrain. I generally try to hold off on the Christmas music until after Thanksgiving, because I want to make sure I take time to celebrate Thanksgiving fully before I delve into everything red and green.

So, even though there will be no Christmas music until after Thanksgiving I have allowed myself to do some Christmas shopping and planning. One of the things I have been working on this week is a gift for Mara Kate. She is getting a kiddy table and chair set from "Santa" and I decided to sew her a cute matching table cloth, chair cushions and some coordinating cloth napkins to go with her table. She already has a tea set, so I know once Christmas is over she will be making and serving lots and lots of tea.

Anyway, I am very happy with the way they turned out, so I wanted to share pictures. :)

You're such a good Mom! I know the tea will be flowing freely with the new table and chairs and accessories.
