Our Week in Pictures

This week has been sort of low key and Mara Kate and I have spent a lot of time at home, which has been nice.

Here are a few pictures taken this week...

Earlier in the week we got a lot of rain and Mara Kate was very impressed with her Daddy when he showed her a real live rainbow coming out of the Coca-Cola building. Every time we've gone out or come home she wants to run to the balcony near our apartment to check and see if it has come back!

Mara Kate "typing an email" at her pretend computer.

She told me she was emailing Ella Ann!
(I think I'll be amazed how fast the time comes when she actually IS emailing Ella Ann!)

Last night we took Mara Kate down to the pool for her last swim of the season. We had so much fun this Summer spending many evenings down by the pool! Mara Kate improved greatly in her swimming skills--starting out the Summer fully supported in a baby float ring and ending it swimming all over the place with just floaties on her arms. She has gotten much braver with her "wings" and I'm so proud of her! The water was absolutely frigid last night, but Kane was sweet to get in with her anyway. It took awhile for them both to brave the water, though. I stayed on the edge taking pictures. :)

Our fish!

We are looking forward to a weekend in Knoxville with Kane's family celebrating Labor Day!

I hope everyone else has a wonderful Labor Day as well!!

That's so funny she was emailing Ella Ann!! I know, it will be strange when the day comes when they really do email one another...you'll have to save the pic!

THAT is a gorgeous picture of the rainbow and Atlanta buildings with the dark sky! I love it!! Also, I'm so impressed with whoever came up with the black part on the stool to be her computer screen! We'll have to try that out :) Looks like y'all had a great week...glad you got in one last swim! Happy Labor Day! :)

Thanks for all of the updates. The rainbow is beautiful!!! Isn't it humbling to see things through the eyes of a child. Love the computer. It is so great to see her using her imagination...Love all of you...
