Final Four, Coke Fest and Centennial Olympic Park

As I am sure most everyone knows, the Final Four basketball games are in Atlanta this weekend, which means increased traffic, but also a lot of events to help promote the games and also to welcome the teams and fans to our city. We didn't get tickets to the games, but we did take advantage of some freebies going on because of them. This afternoon Coca-Cola sponsored an all afternoon free fest of live music and free samples of new coke products. We decided to go and see what it was all about since we live just minutes away and were able to walk. Since it was free we figured it would be a fun way to spend some time outdoors. Too bad it was rainy most of the time we were out and about.

We arrived right as "LL Cool J" took the stage and performed for about 30 minutes (not my favorite "artist" to say the least). While he was performing we spent some time at the other end of the park and played around the Olympic fountain with Mara Kate. She loved watching the water shoot up and down and the older kids runny in and out of the sprays.

We also caught a glimpse of the fest's official host, Ryan Seacrest (for those of you who don't know...he is the host of American Idol). To me this was more exciting than LL Cool J, since I am a fan of American Idol.

So, we had a full day today with our egg hunt earlier this afternoon and an outing to Centennial Olympic Park later in the day.

Fun in the fountain
