Marvelous Movement

Last night was a special night for Kane and me---Kane finally got to feel our baby kick for the first time. The baby has been kicking for several weeks now, but all the movement has been so soft that it couldn't be felt from the outside. Last night when I layed down to go to bed the baby started kicking and I could tell they were harder and stronger kicks than ever before---so I quickly told Kane to feel. Normally when we try this routine the baby immediately quits moving, but last night it didn't---and Kane got to feel 1 really fast, strong kick. He was so excited-- he yelled, "Yeah!!". Kane said he couldn't believe how FAST the kick was.

Thank you Lord for causing this pregnancy to progress well! Thank you for the blessing of life inside me and also the blessing that Kane can share in that as well!

That is a feeling that nobody can describe really. I am so happy for you guys and can't wait to see the round little toes and ankles and knees that are making those strong kicks! (Maybe he/she will play soccer!)

Well, I must say I was beginning to get a little frustrated ("Did you feel that kick? What about that one?") and quite jealous. In the end, it was worth waiting for. It is quite an experience feeling the baby kick--powerful and fast, but a kick nonetheless.

Woohoo!
