Nashville Trip

This past weekend we went to Nashville to visit Kane's sister and her husband, Elizabeth and Choonghwan. It was truly a GREAT weekend and we had a BLAST!!

We arrived around 5ish and ate supper at home with Elizabeth and Choonghwan. We just relaxed and talked that evening and also made some cookies. Saturday we went to the Opry Mills Mall and looked around and ate lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe--very cool place, expecially for Mara Kate who enjoyed all the moving animals, music and the thunder and lightning storm that happened every 30 minutes. Good times, good food! We all chilled that afternoon and then that evening the guys rented a movie and stayed home with Mara Kate while Elizabeth and I went out to see a movie. Sunday morning we went to a Nashville hot spot called the Pancake Pantry. The lines were long, but moved quickly and the food was WONDERFUL! Some place we will HAVE to go back to the next time we visit! We headed back to Atlanta Sunday afternoon after stopping in Smyrna, TN to see Kane's room mate from college and his wife. Mara Kate really enjoyed walking around their apartment, eating gold fish, looking at their cat and just hanging out. It was a really good visit and a great pit-stop for us on our way home. Thanks you guys for having us over for a while! And, as usual, here are some pictures from our trip!

Mara Kate on her first carousel ride---she loved it!

At Opry Mills Mall--all decked out and ready to shop!

The talking tree that looked RIGHT at Mara Kate!

We stopped at Steak N Shake on our way home to get some supper and give Mara Kate a break from the car and her car seat---and here she is downing some cottage cheese....she loves it--I guess that means she is really a BURTON at heart!! :)

I'm glad you all had a fun trip to Nashville. MK looks like she is a natural born equestrian from the looks of the carousel pictures. (Those cottage cheese genes run deep, don't they?)
