Life...Getting Back to Normal

Mara Kate is starting to feel better and I think the antibiotics she's been on for 4 days have really helped with the infection. Her EYE looks MUCH better and she is has slept more normally the past day or so. She is our happy, smily little girl once again and we welcome her back with open arms. :)

I feel like there has been sickness in our house for a month (I know it has only been a little over a week, but when someone is sick around the clock for over a solid week---time just creeps by feeling so drawn out).

So now that everyone is feeling much better and sleeping much better we are all feeling more rested and energetic about life in general. I am already thinking about things I need to do, errands to run, etc. All the things that just get put on hold when you are sick, your husband is sick or your baby is sick.

We had a fun Labor Day visit from a friend back "home" as well as her special someone...it was great to catch up with her and meet him for the first time.

We are excited about our visit this weekend with Kane's parents. It'll be nice to just relax with them and share all the new things Mara Kate is doing.

Also, my sister, nephew and parents are hoping to come for a visit later in the month which will be very fun and then we will make a run up to Bristol too to see other friends as well. So, since we didn't travel anywhere in August, I am ready to see family and ready for a road trip too.

I think I'll get my haircut today too and plan to have a trip to IKEA (thank you Heather for giving me an excuse to go) in my near future as well.

I am going to have a new friend over tonight for dessert and coffee while Kane is at his Bible study and I am looking forward to getting to know her a bit better too.

I'm feeling good today. Life is good. Sleep is good and God is wonderful!

Thank you God for bringing us all back to health!

I am so glad that you are all back to normal! I hate to think that Ella Ann was the catalyst that started it all. :(

You all have a wonderful time with your family this weekend! Sounds like you have a busy month, as do we, but I hope we are able to squeeze in some much-needed playdates soon!!! Have a fun day!

love ya,
katie :)

I am glad that MK is getting over her infection. We are needing a "Mara Kate fix" soon.
