This past Sunday our church had it's annual Fall picnic...which in Atlanta doesn't seem too different from a summer picnic---as it is still very warm these days.
One of the first events we ever attended at our church was their Fall picnic in 2004 about a month after we moved here. We didn't know hardly anyone, but had good fellowship and met a lot of new people that day. Now, 2 years later we felt much more comfortable and really enjoyed ourselves as well as watching Mara Kate experience it for the first time. We all sat on blankets and she crawled all around and had very little interest in her food as she was too busy trying to crawl off the blanket and look at the MANY other people surrounding her.
It was a great picnic filled with wonderful fellowship, good conversations as well as talking with some new "new" people as well.
Also, we put Mara Kate in one of the big park baby swings---and found out that she LOVED it...see pics below!

Heidi, when you are here, we will definately have to take them back to the park so she and Grant can swing together!

I'm glad you had a fun time at the picnic. So far, that makes 100% of my grandchildren who LOVE to swing!!
Of course she loved it. She loves being up and on the move, not being still. Isn't it wonderful to find out new things about your child?
