Yummy Sandwich

Last weekend while visiting my parents, my sister and brother-in-law brought over their "Bistro-style" sandwich maker and wowed us all with some pretty wonderful sandwiches...my brother-in-law did all the grilling and even had us fill out little menus showing what kind of bread, meat, cheese or extras we wanted on our sandwich. They even made some pesto mayo for added zest and flavor! They were QUITE delicious and I was impressed. :)

So, after getting home and trying to figure out what to make myself for lunch one day last week, I decided to do a bit of an experiment and see if I could re-create the taste using our small George Foreman grill---actually, it turned out pretty good. Admittedly, their sandwich maker which was actually made for something like this was better, but for a substitute--using the George Foreman worked fairly well. It's a nice to way "spruce" up an otherwise fairly boring lunch sandwich.

And here's my creation...

...my sourdough, turkey, cheddar, onion, green pepper, pesto-mayo, salt, pepper oregano sandwich!

Hi, I'm the SmockLady. Waaaaay off topic, but I love finding new bloggers. I found you via a blog search looking for the word 'smocking'. Your daughter is too cute. I really like it when it seems I have a lot in common with them. I smock for my children. I have a business related to it, but I'm not here to spam you so I won't list it. I am a bit older than you and my 6th baby is due in a few weeks. We are in Louisiana and are also PCA - as a matter of fact, my hubby is a PCA pastor. We've got family in your area too. It's a small world really - hubby's uncle and my uncle both work in the PCA office there in Atlanta.

Have a great evening and stop by my blog sometime. OH, you will need to register - we've had some stlaking issues. But just let me know it's you (or any of your readers) and it's know problem. ;)

Oh, BTW, sandwich looks YUM-O!
