Lakehouse

This past weekend we went to a lakehouse outside Knoxville, Tennessee with all of Kane's extended family. It is tradition for all of his aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents to gather and spend a week together at this lake house, but this year it was a quite an accomplishment to get a large number of us together just for the weekend.

Various family members drove in from Birmingham, Knoxville, Athens, Martin and Atlanta (us). It was a good time of visiting with family, riding in the boat, watersking, knee boarding, wake boarding and riding on the jet ski.

We ate a lot of yummy food, talked, played cards and just hung out. I was also able to start a new smocking project whiler we were there which was nice.

One thing that would have made the trip more enjoyable was having a sleeping baby. Mara Kate has been doing so well with sleeping while we are at home but for some reason she never does well when we travel, so I felt like a zombie most of the weekend having not gotten much sleep during the night hours there.
